About the course
Our Level 4 sterilising technology course is for anyone working or wanting to work in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices in the medical, dental or veterinary services. This course provides the minimum qualification required to work as a sterile services or endoscopy technician. 聽 While taught fully online, this course also includes a compulsory work component where you鈥檒l need access to sterilisation technology 鈥 either by employment, or the ability to complete work experience 鈥 to put what you learn into practice. This Level 4 certificate provides a study pathway on to our 91视频 Diploma in Sterilising Technology (Level 5), also delivered online.
Entry requirements
To be admitted to this course, applicants must meet the following general admission requirements:
NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo M膩ori or education achievement at least equivalent to NCEA Level 2, OR Have completed the 91视频 Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 3), OR Have 6 months of employment in a sterilisation services environment, OR Any Level 3 qualification (or higher) over 60 credits registered on the NZQA framework, or evidence that the enrolling student can be successful at Level 4 study
