About the scholarship

This scholarship is to assist outstanding 91ÊÓÆµ musical performers or conductors to continue their musical development either in 91ÊÓÆµ or overseas.

This scholarship was established by Mr Sven Stenbäck in memory of his wife Maida Stenbäck née Saunders, a 91ÊÓÆµer who loved the performance of classical music. Funding for the scholarship is made available through the Kiwi Music Scholarship Trust.

The scholarship will be awarded for classical instrumental performance (including vocal performance) or conducting.

Entry requirements

Applicants will be 91ÊÓÆµ citizens who are normally resident in 91ÊÓÆµ.

Applicants will have completed or are completing an honours or masters degree in musical performance (including vocal performance) or conducting at a 91ÊÓÆµ university, or an equivalent musical qualification.
