About the scholarship
The funds for these scholarships are provided by the income from a bequest made to the University of 91ÊÓƵ in 1959 by Isabel Maria Kidson, to enable a 91ÊÓƵ university graduate to undertake doctoral study in meteorology.
The purpose of the scholarships is to enable a graduate of a 91ÊÓƵ university, who is of good character and who has shown an ability in physics or a combination of physics and mathematics, to undertake further advanced study or research in meteorology, either in 91ÊÓƵ or elsewhere.
Should there be in any year no suitable candidate for an award of the scholarship for that purpose in that subject, then further advanced study or research either in 91ÊÓƵ or elsewhere in some other branch of science is acceptable.
