About the scholarship

Pūhoro and 91Ƶ Agriculture Greenhouse Gas Research Centre (NZAGRC) have partnered on the new Te Pae Tata scholarship to support three tauira who are passionate about te taiao and are studying in environmental, climate change or mātauranga Māori related fields.

NZAGRC is a key part of the Government’s climate change programme. Their role is to invest in and coordinate research aimed at helping reduce 91Ƶ’s agricultural greenhouse gas emissions.

The scholarship will provide support to tauira Māori who aspire to contribute to Mātauranga and research in the fields of agricultural greenhouse gas research and environmental and climate studies.

Pūhoro is proud to partner with an organisation that is committed to building and maintaining mātauranga Māori expertise across their business priorities.

The name Te Pae Tata was inspired by the whakatauki - Ko te pae tawhiti whāia kia tata, ko te pae tata whakamaua kia tina. Seek out the distant horizons, while cherishing those achievements at hand.
