About the scholarship
The Garrick Latch Postgraduate Travel Grants are intended for full-time doctoral students researching plant pathology, molecular plant pathology, or a closely related field. The grant supports attendance at an international conference where recipients will present their research findings. Established in 2017, these grants honor Dr. Garrick Latch's contributions to plant pathology and biological control.
Entry requirements
You must be enrolled in a PhD with a focus on plants/plant pathology and be intending to undertake research-related travel. Include the following with your application: your academic transcripts for any tertiary study completed outside of Massey University; the details of the international conference or overseas travel this grant would support, including location, dates, and reason for travel; a statement on how receiving this scholarship would benefit you and how you believe you meet the intentions of this award; a budget for the proposed travel, including all associated costs such as registration fee, travel, accommodation, and any other sources of funding for this travel; a copy of your Massey University transcripts and current enrolment.
