About the scholarship
The Toioho Ki Apiti Undergraduate Scholarship is aimed at students enrolled in the Bachelor of M膩ori Visual Arts. This 4-year degree focuses on the visual expressions of mana whakapapa, mana tiriti, mana whenua, and mana tangata. The program includes studies in sculpture, installation, painting, digital media, and digital photography, alongside Te Reo M膩ori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and M膩ori Culture electives. We're looking for someone who is passionate about contemporary M膩ori arts.
Entry requirements
Include the following with your application:
- 4鈥10 images of your artwork
- a personal statement (around 300 words) about your interest in contemporary M膩ori arts, what studying at Toioho ki 膧piti means to you
- a brief statement on your future goals and how these relate to your study
- a copy of your High School results. This should be your NCEA Level 3 results or equivalent
- a reference from a teacher, community leader, gallery director, or kaum膩tua (optional but encouraged)
