About the scholarship
The scholarship is to support a Ngﾄ》i Tﾅｫwharetoa postgraduate student at Victoria University of Wellington studying in any of the four categories listed under eligibility which align to the Pou identified in the Tﾅｫwharetoa Mﾄ｛ri Trust Board's Mahere Rautaki 2021-2026. The four categories for consideration are: Pou Taiao, Pou Tikanga, Pou Tangata, and Pou Tﾄ》ﾄ『hai. This scholarship is co-funded with Victoria University of Wellington to support Ngﾄ》i Tﾅｫwharetoa participation and success at the University.
Entry requirements
Each applicant will need to be studying full-time at Victoria University of Wellington for a postgraduate qualification in one of the above areas and be registered with the Tﾅｫwharetoa Mﾄ｛ri Trust Board. Applicants must provide a history of previous qualifications achieved; a supporting letter from their marae/hapﾅｫ; and a personal statement that overviews how their study aligns with the chosen category, their current involvement with Ngﾄ》i Tﾅｫwharetoa marae, hapﾅｫ and iwi, and how their qualification will enable them to contribute to Ngﾄ》i Tﾅｫwharetoa marae, hapﾅｫ and iwi.
