About the scholarship
This scholarship was established through a bequest from the late George Trachy Pirouet to support students undertaking postgraduate study in Latin American studies at Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 and can be used towards tuition fees or as a monthly stipend. Recipients are expected to write a letter of thanks to the executors of the estate and provide a copy of their thesis upon completion.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol full-time, in a Master's by thesis or PhD in a topic in Latin American studies at Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington. Selection will be based on academic merit. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
