About the scholarship
Te Ara Wh膩nui Scholarship recognises the importance the University of Waikato assigns to fostering, developing, and protecting excellence of M膩ori, and kapa haka, kaupapa M膩ori, tikanga, reo and/or m膩tauranga M膩ori. This Scholarship provides a platform for M膩ori students to strive for excellence in a programme of study at the University of Waikato and to awaken and widen knowledge of M膩ori.
Entry requirements
For domestic students who are studying towards NCEA Level 3 (or equivalent) in 2025 and have cultural excellence in Te Ao M膩ori, have achieved NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent) with at least Merit, and are intending to enrol full-time (120 points) at the University of Waikato in 2026.
