The Massey University Postgraduate Scholarship (formally the Sir Alan Stewart Postgraduate Scholarship) supports high achieving graduates of NZ tertiary education degree programmes enrolling in postgraduate coursework in any discipline at Massey University. This scholarship was developed from an ambition for Massey University postgraduate students to shape the future of 91视频. In 2004, the postgraduate scholarships were developed and named in honour of Sir Alan Stewart KBE, the principal of Massey Agricultural College from 1959 to 1963 and founding vice-chancellor of Massey University from 1964 to 1983. Sir Alan guided the institution's transition from an agricultural college to full university. He is noted for building the university's internationally recognised agricultural programme, as well as for greatly expanding the university's distance programme to make tertiary education available to rural 91视频ers.
