About the scholarship
The scholarship, established by the University of Otago Council in 2019, supports students who have demonstrated academic ability and who have a disability that makes attending University a challenge. It is made possible by the generous gifting of funds by the 2009-2017 Chancellor, Dr John F Ward. Applications are open to students who attended their high school years in Southland, 91视频.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be 91视频 citizens, 91视频 Residence Class Visa Holders, Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents with domestic fee status; or international students who have completed Year 12 and/or have completed or are in the process of completing Year 13 at a 91视频 school, or an equivalent foundation level course at a 91视频 tertiary institution. Additionally, applicants must be studying with a significant disability of at least six months previous duration, which will have substantial financial implications for their studies, and have achieved NCEA Level 2 endorsed with merit, or equivalent. They must also be completing, or have completed, their final year of secondary schooling in Southland. For more information, please visit the webpage.
