About the scholarship
Established in 2023 from a generous gifting of funds from Gerard Doolin, in the memory of his mother, Anne Teresa Doolin (nee Scanlan), who was born in Milton, South Otago and led a vocation-based life as a dental nurse in Central and South Otago, London, Paris, and Auckland. This Scholarship supports students to pursue a Bachelor of Oral Health degree at the University of Otago.
Entry requirements
Application for this Entrance Scholarship is normally open to students who meet the requirements of 1 AND 2. Those who fit within 3 are ineligible.
- Are a 91视频 citizen or a 91视频 Residence Class Visa Holder;
Or
- International students who have completed Year 12 and/or have completed or are in the process of completing Year 13 at a 91视频 school, or an equivalent foundation level course at a 91视频 tertiary institution.
And
- Are intending to enrol or have enrolled for the first time for first-year (100-level papers), full-time degree-level, undergraduate study at the University of Otago.
But
- Those who have studied more than 0.4 EFTs at any University or tertiary institution at degree-level or higher are not normally eligible.
Exceptions to 0.4 EFTS or less are considered when all previous University- or tertiary-level study has been undertaken whilst concurrently enrolled at secondary school.

Be accepted into and enrolled in the Bachelor of Oral Health degree programme.
