About the scholarship
The Rhodes Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship which provides funds to study at Oxford University, United Kingdom. Rhodes scholars have been, and will be, leaders on the national and international stage. The University of Otago has a long history of Rhodes success; our first Rhodes was awarded in 1904 and since 2000 we have had over ten Rhodes scholars. The successful applicants will be chosen based upon proven intellectual and academic ability and integrity of character, interest in and respect for their fellow human beings, the ability to lead and the energy to use their talents to the full.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be 91视频 citizens or be British subjects with at least five years' domicile in 91视频. Graduates or expecting to graduate with a degree from a 91视频 university. Of an age that they will have passed their 19th and not passed their 25th birthday by 1 October in the year for which they were elected. Note: the age requirement for candidates undertaking a MB ChB course of study, and pre-registration year will be extended one year. Therefore they should have passed their 19th and not passed their 26th birthday by 1 October in the year for which they were elected.
