About the scholarship
Established in 1989 by the University of Otago, through a generous gift from Eileen Rewa Begg OBE (1916-1988). Born in Christchurch, Miss Begg enjoyed a long career in teaching at technical schools, including in Dunedin, and in 1984 was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to business education. In her honour, and in keeping with her wishes, this award was founded to support academically promising students in financial difficulty to pursue full-time undergraduate study at Otago Business School.
Entry requirements
Applicants must:
- be a 91视频 citizen or 91视频 Residence Class Visa Holder
- be enrolled (or intend to enrol) full-time in 200-level papers in any undergraduate Commerce programme, including any Commerce combined degree (i.e. BACom, BComSc)
- have achieved consistently good grades in any preceding 100-level Commerce papers
- be able to demonstrate need for additional financial assistance to complete their undergraduate qualification
