The Women Doctors' Fund was established in 2004 by Dr. Rosy Fenwicke, a GP in Wellington, and her contributors, who generously donated the royalties from her book entitled, In Practice: The Lives of 91视频 Women Doctors in the 21st Century. The grant is awarded by the University Council, on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, to a female student who is a 91视频 citizen or 91视频 permanent resident in their 3rd year of study towards the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago. The grant is to assist the recipient with their study of medicine.
