About the scholarship
Dan Watkins was a leading figure in early weed science research in 91ÊÓƵ. He was a founder of the 91ÊÓƵ Weeds Conference (forerunner of the 91ÊÓƵ Plant Protection Society), a member of the 91ÊÓƵ National Research Council, and was involved with other scientific bodies. This scholarship has been set up in memory of Dan Watkins and to recognise his contribution to weed science in 91ÊÓƵ. The 91ÊÓƵ Plant Protection Society administers this scholarship, which aims to encourage research into the biology and control of weeds in 91ÊÓƵ.
